Price Pump 0538 Mechanical Seal

The Price Pump 0538 is a Mechanical Seal, Buna/Carbon/Ceramic, single 5/8 Inch, a genuine Price Pump replacement part for the Type CD and Type F Series centrifugal pumps. Price Pump replacement parts are the parts the pump was built with. This Mechanical Seal is supplied for the Type CD and Type F Series, and fits the models that carry it in their parts list. Replace the mechanical seal when it leaks. The manual lists the causes to check for: improper assembly, worn or cracked seal faces, abrasive material in the liquid, liquid flashing at the seal faces because the liquid temperature is too high, a seal pressure rating too low for the service, chemical attack of the seal parts, and a seal run dry or with a liquid that lubricates poorly. Never run the pump without liquid for more than a few seconds, as the seal is damaged.
