The Jabsco 30520-1001 is an epoxy plastic Flexible Impeller pump with a Neoprene Impeller, Carbon/Ceramic Mechanical Seal, 1 Inch NPT External Ports, bare shafted pedestal pump end only without a Motor. Epoxy Plastic flexible impeller pumps are useful where self-priming is required and are also very effective in pumping acids and alkalis. The corrosive nature of the electro plating process makes these pumps ideally suited to stand the harsh environments they may be exposed to. Typical chemicals used may include sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and aqua regia. They are also popular in the photographic industry as they are ideally suited at pumping photographic development chemicals . At lower speeds, they also handle delicate liquids very well owing to their gentle pumping action. Virtually any liquid with viscousity up to 20,000 cps can be pumped as long as there is chemical compatibility with the pump materials.
RUNNING DRY Unit depends on liquid pumped for lubrication. Do not run dry for more than 30 seconds. Lack of liquid will damage the impeller.

INSTALLATION Pump may be mounted in any position. The rotation of the pump shaft determines the location of the pumps intake and discharge ports. Pump is normally assembled at factory for clockwise rotation.SELFPRIMING Primes at low or high speeds. For vertical dry suction lift of 10 feet neoprene, a minimum of 860 RPM is required. Pump will produce suction lift up to 22 feet when wet. TEMPERATURES The operating temperature limits of the pump depend on the impeller compound. The following ranges apply Neoprene 45 degrees to 180 degrees F 7 degrees to 82 degrees C.
