The Jabsco 1673-2001 is a bronze Flexible Impeller pump with a Neoprene Impeller, Mechanical Seal, 1/2 Inch NPT Ports, bare shafted pedestal pump end only without a Motor. These flexible impeller pumps are self-priming and pump instantly with dry suction, lifts up to 10 feet (3m) and up to 25 feet (8m) when wetted. Permits cleaner, safer installations. No foot valve required. The bronze bodies and stainless steel shafts are well suited for marine environments. These pumps have replaceable cams and wearplates for extended product life, and they have one moving part a tough, long-lived, wear-resistant flexible impeller, lubricated by the liquid being pumped. No metal-to-metal pumping action no gears to jam, clog or become noisy. This Jabsco flexible impeller pump combines the priming feature of positive displacement type pumps with the general transfer ability of centrifugals. It will pump either thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps. It operates at low or high speeds, can be mounted at any angle and pumps in either direction with equal efficiency.
Do not pump light fraction petroleum derivatives, solvents, thinners, highly concentrated or organic acids. Damage to pump may result.
Flow rate: Nominal 40 Litres/min at 1500rpm

Inexpensive to buy and operate.
Will tolerate abrasive wear .
Handles hard and soft solids without clogging.
Can pump in either direction.
Will not airlock.
Pump may be mounted in any position. Intake and discharge ports are determined by the direction of shaft rotation. Before installing, turn the pump shaft in the direction of the operating rotation. Operating in either direction, these flexible impeller pumps are ideally suited to washdown, circulation and fire duty applications onboard or dockside. They are also ideally suited for the following applications MARINE Engine cooling, Pumping bilges, Washdowns, Circulating water in bait tanks, Utility dock side pump.
