Product Information :

The Hydracell D10EKCGHFHMA is a Sealless Diaphragm Pump, bare shafted, Shaft-driven pump only, 5/8 inch shaft, bi-directional, Kel-Cell version, with Cast Iron (Nickel-plated) pump body construction, FKM Viton diaphragm and o-ring, 17-4 Stainless Steel Valve Seat, 17-4 Stainless Steel Valves, 17-7 Stainless Steel Valve Springs, PVDF Valve Spring Retainers, 10W30 standard-duty crankcase oil, 1 inch NPT Inlet Port by 3/4 inch NPT Discharge Port, and is rated for a maximum flow of 8.8 GPM (33.4 l/min) at 1750 RPM. This Hydra-Cell positive displacement diaphragm pump features a seal-less pumping chamber so there are no seals, packing or cups to leak or replace. This seal-less design and check valves enable the pump to handle abrasives and particulates that would damage other types of pumps, and it will tolerate non-ideal operating conditions. The multiple-diaphragm design of this pump provides virtually pulse-less, linear flow without the need for expensive pulsation dampeners. This pump has a metallic pump head made of Cast Iron which can handle higher operating pressures. This pump has the Hydra-Cell patented Kel-Cell diaphragm protection which greatly improves pump protection and reliability under adverse and potentially damaging system conditions, and enhances the performance, reliability and durability of the pump. The Kel-Cell controls the position of the diaphragm under a wide variety of adverse inlet conditions and provides a new degree of diaphragm rupture protection. Examples of some of these adverse conditions are : having an inlet pipe or inlet filter partially or completely blocked, having an inlet shut-off valve partly or completely closed, having inadequate liquid supply, having an excessively viscous fluid, having inadequate discharge pressure, or having other conditions which result in excess vacuum conditions on the inlet of the pump. The Kel-Cell system is an enhancement of the existing Hydra-Cell technology. Generally, in cases where poor inlet conditions could eventually lead to a diaphragm failure, the Kel-Cell will prevent the failure from happening. Troubleshooting can be focused on finding and rectifying the system problem which contributed to the "apparent" poor pump performance. The diaphragm will not require replacement due to incidental damage, resulting from poor system design. This pump does not rely on the fluid being pumped for lubrication and so it can run dry indefinitely without damage (or additional maintenance) to the pump in case of accident or operator error. The simple, compact design reduces initial investment, and lowers maintenance costs and downtime because there are no seals, packing or cups to leak or replace. This pump will keep plant and equipment running day after day without interruption because this Hydra-Cell heavy duty Pump is designed and built, above all else, for precise performance and long life. The Hydra-cell D10EKCGHFHMA is a versatile, reliable pump for a wide range of applications, and will pump the full spectrum of low-to-high viscosity fluids. It tolerates abrasive solids and particulate matter up to 500 microns and 9 hardness (Mohs) without the need for fine filtration. Multiple FKM Viton diaphragms provide virtually pulse-less flow that exceeds API 675 standards for accuracy, linearity, and repeatability, and low-shear pumping action ensures integrity of long-chain structures. It can pump acids, slurries and liquids containing up to 40 percent of non-dissolved solids. This pump is environmentally friendly as liquids are 100 percent sealed from the atmosphere, and there is no leak path for toxic vapors or harmful gasses, and no seals to leak any volatile organic compounds. Compact and highly efficient (80-85 percent), a this abrasive pump can be fitted with a smaller motor than would be required by many much bigger pumps for equivalent flows and pressures.

Applications

There are many applications for the Hydracell D10EKCGHFHMA pump. The sealless compact design, durability and simplicity makes this pump the optimum choice for handling aggressive fluids, abrasive fluids with particles, and enables charged and dirty liquids to be processed without need for fine filtration to protect the diaphragm pump. It's unique combination of advantages including sealless design, durability, energy efficiency, simple build and low maintenance enables this pump to outperform alternatives and reduce costs over a very wide range of pumping applications, liquids and operating pressures. Typical applications for the D10EKCGHFHMA include machine tool coolant, chemical transfer, metering, pressure cleaning, reverse osmosis, spray drying, food industry pumping aplications, and many more. There are many uses for this pump in Agricultural applications. Agricultural chemicals are often abrasive, corrosive and viscous. The HydraCell pump has been used successfully for metering and injecting concentrates into the booms of large flotation field sprayers and center pivot irrigation systems. Reliability is important and the HydraCell's sealless diaphragm design, choice of corrosion resistant materials and its ability to run dry without damage give it the edge over any other type of injection pump. Agricultural applications include spraying lawn chemicals, and tree and orchard spraying. There are many uses for this pump in Food applications. Though not qualified for Hygienic duties, this pump is widely used in the food industry because of their sealless design and ability to handle particulates, abrasives, corrosives, caustics and hot liquids. Common applications include spray drying systems, coating, transfer of process liquids, mixing and dosing. This pump is ideal for pumping hot or cold, cleaning and sterilising agents in C.I.P S.I.P. systems, high pressure roadtanker, tankwash systems and handheld washdown guns. There are many uses for this pump in Car Wash applications. This pump is used throughout the car wash industry. The rugged construction and choice of materials makes it the best car wash pump for reclaim water applications, high pressure arches, side blast sprays, prep guns and under carriage applications. This pump is sealless, positive displacement and available in a variety of corrosion resistant materials, making it an excellent choice for metering car wash chemicals. Car Wash applications include central cleaning in food plants, industrial parts washing, locomotive washing, truck washing, trailer and tank washing. There are many uses for this pump in Industrial applications. Many industrial cleaning systems use liquids that may harm or cause premature wear in piston pumps and others that rely on shaft seals to separate drive mechanism from the pumped fluid. Because of its high pressure capability, its sealless design and its ability to handle virtually any cleaning liquid, hot or cold, this industrial pump is ideally suited to cleaning and washing applications. Sample Industrial applications include Cleaninplace systems, Rinsing with DI water, Pressure wash guns ring main, Machine wash down, Filter cleaning, Paint/ink/dye mixing vessels, Internal cleaning of tanks/road tankers/IBCs and totes, Car wash/truck wash, Paper industry conveyors and felts, Cleaning PCBs, Deburring with high pressure, and Parts washing. There are many uses for this pump in Reverse Osmosis applications. The demand for fresh water is growing all over the world. Reverse osmosis is the process that separates salt and other contaminants from water and other fluids. The most efficient reverse osmosis systems utilize high pressure to purify large volumes of water. On large marine vessels and in remote areas of the world, much of the water comes directly from the ocean. With no cups, packings or seals, this HydraCell pump is ideally suited to deliver smooth, high pressure sea water to the separation membranes of the reverse osmosis unit.
