Parts Page (click here)The Finish Thompson DB5P is a Sealless Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pump end only, less motor, with Polypropylene Casing and Adapter, a 3.00 inch maximum diameter Polypropylene impeller, Carbon bushing, FKM o-ring, 6-pole magnet set, 1 inch NPT suction and 1/2 inch NPT discharge ports, and a IEC 63 B14 C-face motor adapter, less motor. This pump is a flooded suction, sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pump built without a mechanical seal, so there is nothing to leak, maintain or replace. Its casing, impeller and barrier are moulded in Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene, its shaft and thrust rings are High-Purity Alumina Ceramic, and it runs on a Carbon bushing, which lets it run dry for hours without damage. The 3.00 inch maximum diameter Polypropylene impeller is two-piece, so it can be changed without replacing the inner drive, and it is driven through a 6-pole set of neodymium iron boron magnets, encapsulated in unfilled resin and balanced to ISO 1940 G2.5. Liquid enters through the 1 inch NPT suction and leaves through the 1/2 inch NPT discharge. It is supplied as a pump end, less motor, on a IEC 63 B14 C-face adapter, and takes any motor of that frame within the magnet set's rating, so the same pump end covers a range of horsepowers. This size works to 60 psi working pressure, viscosity to 50 cP, specific gravity over 1.8, and liquid temperature to 180 degrees F in this material, at efficiencies up to 70 percent, and it should not be run below 0.25 gpm at 3450 RPM. The design is back pullout, the outer drive is measurement-free to set, and the pump is CE certified.

The Finish Thompson DB5P is a Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pump end for corrosive and aggressive liquids in chemical process, industrial and OEM service.
It is a flooded suction pump, handling liquid temperatures to 180 degrees F, working pressure to 60 psi, viscosity to 50 cP and specific gravity over 1.8, through 1 inch NPT suction and 1/2 inch NPT discharge ports on a 3.00 inch impeller.
The smallest motor listed for this pump suits liquids lighter than water, such as alcohols and solvents, where the power drawn falls with the specific gravity. Water and heavier liquids want the next motor size up.
The DB Series is flooded suction and does not self prime. A pump that has to lift its liquid, or a line carrying trapped air, wants the selfpriming SP Series instead. For flammable or combustible liquids the nonsparking ring and an explosionproof motor are required.
