The March TE-7SSB-MD-3PH-1HP is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Motor unit, with 316 Stainless Steel front housing, 316 Stainless Steel rear housing, 316 Stainless Steel shaft, Glass Filled Kynar impeller, EPDM o-ring, Ceramic thrust washers, Carbon bushing, 1-1/2 inch Tri-Clamp Inlet by 1-1/2 inch Tri-Clamp Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 1 Horsepower, 3450 RPM, 230/460 Volts AC, Three Phase, TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) Motor. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. This seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump ideal for homebrewing. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 53 gallons per minute at 10 feet, and its maximum head is 57.5 Feet (25PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of 316 Stainless Steel, Glass Filled Kynar, EPDM, Mica Teflon, and Ceramic. The inlet connection is 1.5 inch Tri Clamp, and the outlet is 1.5 inch Tri Clamp. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 200PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 225 Fahrenheit or 107 Celsius. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. Rated performance capacity is up to 53 GPM open flow, and up to 57.5 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 57.5 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 53 GPM. Applications

The TE7SSBMD Beer Pump has pumped Hot Water and Hot Wort. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped. This pump may have to be modified to pump liquids or chemicals with specific gravities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different then ambient water. A magnetic drive pump is sealless, preventing any leakage that is normally associated with a conventional seal pump. Not only does the absence of a seal prevent the leakage of potentially dangerous and expensive liquids, it reduces maintenance time spent on the pump. In any magnetic drive pump, there are only two moving parts, the drive magnet and the impeller. With only two moving parts, there is little to break in the pump, and this pump is serviceable with a screwdriver. The simpler the pump, the less chance there is for failure. A magnetic drive pump is your answer to for a long lasting, dependable, reliable pump. Install the pump as near to the suction source and as low as possible with a flooded suction. The Pump should be mounted horizontally on a foundation secured by anchor bolts on a flat, stable surface or supports which are suitable to prevent movement of the pump and motor when in operation. It is advisable to mount the motor on a dampening/insulation surface to reduce noise and vibration caused by the moving components while operation. Always ensure that the outlet port is higher than the inlet port. This allows a path for the air to escape through. If the outlet is not higher than air can build up and may cause problems within the system. The pump should never be mounted vertically with the pump head at the lowest point. This will create an air pocket within the pump chamber and may cause problems.
