The March 140-3-115V is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Motor unit, with Polypropylene front and rear housing, Polypropylene impeller, Buna-N o-ring, Ceramic shaft, Ceramic thrust washer, 1-1/8 inch Hose Inlet by 7/8 inch Hose Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 1/20 Horsepower, 115 Volt AC, Single Phase Motor. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. This seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump which is commonly found in aquariums. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 14 gallons per minute at 1 foot, and its maximum head is 11.5 Feet (5PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of Polypropylene, Buna N, Ceramic. The inlet connection is 1-1/8 inch smooth, and the outlet is 7/8 inch smooth. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 50PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 190 Fahrenheit or 87 Celsius. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. Rated performance capacity is up to 14 GPM open flow, and up to 11.5 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 11.5 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 14 GPM. The maximum temperature for this pump is 190 degrees F.

Applications

There are many applications that the March 1403115V are used in. Typical applications for this pump include aquariums and applications where much flow but little head is needed. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped.
