Product Information :

The March 0893-0061-0200 is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Ametek Brushless Motor unit, Submersible, with Noryl front and rear housings, Nylon impeller, Carbon/Teflon thrust washer, Buna-N o-ring, 316 Stainless Steel shaft, Ceramic Magnet, 3/8 inch Female NPT Inlet by 3/8 inch Hose Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 1/150 Horsepower, 4000 RPM, 12 Volts DC, Submersible Motor. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. This seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and heat transfer. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 2.7 gallons per minute at 1 foot, and its maximum head is 10.6 Feet (4.5PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of Noryl, Nylon, Carbon/Teflon, Buna N, Stainless Steel, and Ceramic Magnet. When submerged Epoxy, Delrin, and the motor leads are also in contact with the solution. The inlet connection is 3/8 inch female pipe thread, and the outlet is 3/8 inch smooth. The standard motor is a 0.006 Horsepower DC Brushless Motor, available in 12 Volts. The 12 Volt Motor has an operating range from 7 to 14 Volts. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 50PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 190 Fahrenheit or 87 Celsius when not submerged, or 130 Fahrenheit or 54 Celsius when submerged. The March 893-09 centrifugal magnetic drive pump is capable of handling mildly or highly corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. Rated performance capacity is up to 2.7 GPM open flow, and up to 10.6 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 10.6 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 2.7 GPM. The maximum temperature for this pump is 120 degrees F.

Applications

There are many applications that the March 089300610200 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include computer cooling, photographic processing equipment, refrigeration systems, and water displays. The 89309 has pumped many chemicals. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped. This pump may have to be modified to pump liquids or chemicals with specific gravities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different then ambient water. A magnetic drive pump is sealless, preventing any leakage that is normally associated with a conventional seal pump. Not only does the absence of a seal prevent the leakage of potentially dangerous and expensive liquids, it reduces maintenance time spent on the pump. In any magnetic drive pump, there are only two moving parts, the drive magnet and the impeller. With only two moving parts, there is little to break in the pump, and this pump is serviceable with a screwdriver. The simpler the pump, the less chance there is for failure. A magnetic drive pump is your answer to for a long lasting, dependable, reliable pump. Install the pump as near to the suction source and as low as possible with a flooded suction. The Pump should be mounted horizontally on a foundation secured by anchor bolts on a flat, stable surface or supports which are suitable to prevent movement of the pump and motor when in operation. It is advisable to mount the motor on a dampening/insulation surface to reduce noise and vibration caused by the moving components while operation. Always ensure that the outlet port is higher than the inlet port. This allows a path for the air to escape through. If the outlet is not higher than air can build up and may cause problems within the system. The pump should never be mounted vertically with the pump head at the lowest point. This will create an air pocket within the pump chamber and may cause problems.
