Product Information :

The March 0161-0016-0100 is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Motor unit, with Natural Kynar front housing, Natural Kynar rear housing, Glass Filled Kynar impeller, Viton gasket, Carbon bushing, Ceramic shaft and thrust washers, 3 inch Male NPT Inlet by 2 inch Male NPT Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 10 Horsepower, 230/460 Volts AC, Three Phase, TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) Motor. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. This seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump ideal for applications such as chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and scrubber systems. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 200 gallons per minute at 70 feet, and its maximum head is 160 Feet (70PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of natural Kynar (PVDF), glass filled Kynar (PVDF), Viton, Carbon, and Ceramic. The inlet connection is 3 inch male pipe thread, and the outlet is 2 inch male pipe thread. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 75PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 190 Fahrenheit or 87 Celsius. The March TE-10K-MD centrifugal magnetic drive pump is capable of handling mildly, or highly corrosive chemicals, acids, and solvents. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. The motor on this pump is U.L. listed and rated for continuous duty and has a junction box for electrical connection. Rated performance capacity is up to 200 GPM open flow, and up to 160 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 160 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 200 GPM. The maximum temperature for this pump is 190 degrees F.
DIMENSIONS : The dimensions of this pump are 19 inches wide, 18 inches high, 35 inches long.
WEIGHT : The March 0161-0016-0100 weighs 255 Lbs.

Applications

There are many applications that the March 016100160100 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, deionized water systems, scrubber systems, detergent mixers, computer cooling, waste treatment plants, and plating operations. The TE10KMD has pumped Acetic Acid, Citric Acid, Ethylene Glycol, Formaldehyde, Hydrochloric Acid Muriatic, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Nitric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sulfuric Acid, Fresh Water, Salt Water, DI Water, and many more chemicals. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped. This pump may have to be modified to pump liquids or chemicals with specific gravities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different then ambient water. A magnetic drive pump is sealless, preventing any leakage that is normally associated with a conventional seal pump. Not only does the absence of a seal prevent the leakage of potentially dangerous and expensive liquids, it reduces maintenance time spent on the pump. In any magnetic drive pump, there are only two moving parts, the drive magnet and the impeller. With only two moving parts, there is little to break in the pump, and this pump is serviceable with a screwdriver. The simpler the pump, the less chance there is for failure. A magnetic drive pump is your answer to for a long lasting, dependable, reliable pump. Install the pump as near to the suction source and as low as possible with a flooded suction. The Pump should be mounted horizontally on a foundation secured by anchor bolts on a flat, stable surface or supports which are suitable to prevent movement of the pump and motor when in operation. It is advisable to mount the motor on a dampening/insulation surface to reduce noise and vibration caused by the moving components while operation. Always ensure that the outlet port is higher than the inlet port. This allows a path for the air to escape through. If the outlet is not higher than air can build up and may cause problems within the system. The pump should never be mounted vertically with the pump head at the lowest point. This will create an air pocket within the pump chamber and may cause problems.
