Product Information :

The March 0130-0158-0230 is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Motor unit, hermetically encapsulated, submersible, Carbon Bushing version, with Polypropylene front and rear housing, Polypropylene impeller, Carbon bushing, Cupric Nickel cooling tube, Buna-N o-ring and cooling tube seal, Ceramic shaft and thrust washer, Ceramic Magnet, 3/4 inch Female NPT Inlet by 1/2 inch Male NPT Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 1/20 Horsepower, 3450 RPM, 115 Volt AC, Single Phase Motor that has a 6 foot long cord. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 8.5 gallons per minute at 4 feet, and its maximum head is 19 Feet (8PSI). The LC-3CP-MD pump may be used submerged or not submerged. The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of Polypropylene, Buna N, Cupric Nickel, Ceramic, and Ceramic Magnet. When submerged, Epoxy, Stainless Steel, Polysulfone, and the Cord are also in contact with the solution. The inlet connection is 3/4 inch female pipe thread, and the outlet is 1/2 inch male pipe thread. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 25PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 130 Fahrenheit or 54 Celsius. The March LC-3CP-MD centrifugal magnetic drive pump is capable of handling fresh water, salt water, and mild chemicals. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. The motor on this pump is U.L. listed and rated for continuous duty. Rated performance capacity is up to 8.5 GPM open flow, and up to 19 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 19 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 8.5 GPM. The maximum temperature for this pump is 130 degrees F.

Applications

There are many applications that the March 013001580230 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include marine air conditioning and fountains. The LC3CPMD has pumped Fresh Water and Salt Water. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped. This pump may have to be modified to pump liquids or chemicals with specific gravities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different then ambient water. A magnetic drive pump is sealless, preventing any leakage that is normally associated with a conventional seal pump. Not only does the absence of a seal prevent the leakage of potentially dangerous and expensive liquids, it reduces maintenance time spent on the pump. In any magnetic drive pump, there are only two moving parts, the drive magnet and the impeller. With only two moving parts, there is little to break in the pump, and this pump is serviceable with a screwdriver. The simpler the pump, the less chance there is for failure. A magnetic drive pump is your answer to for a long lasting, dependable, reliable pump. Install the pump as near to the suction source and as low as possible with a flooded suction. The Pump should be mounted horizontally on a foundation secured by anchor bolts on a flat, stable surface or supports which are suitable to prevent movement of the pump and motor when in operation. It is advisable to mount the motor on a dampening/insulation surface to reduce noise and vibration caused by the moving components while operation. Always ensure that the outlet port is higher than the inlet port. This allows a path for the air to escape through. If the outlet is not higher than air can build up and may cause problems within the system. The pump should never be mounted vertically with the pump head at the lowest point. This will create an air pocket within the pump chamber and may cause problems.
