Product Information :

The March 0115-0007-0413 is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump and Motor unit, useable in Open Air or Submersible, with Polypropylene screen, Polypropylene rear housing, Polypropylene impeller, EPDM o-ring, Cycolac cover, Carbon/Teflon thrust washer, 316 Stainless Steel shaft, Screened Inlet by 1/4 inch Male NPT Outlet Ports, and is coupled to a 1/200 Horsepower, 3200 RPM, 115 Volt AC, Single Phase Motor that has a 6 foot long cord plug. This pump is a hermetically encapsulated pump, which allows the pump to run fully submerged in many liquids or in open air for complete moisture protection. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 2.3 gallons per minute at 0.25 feet, and its maximum head is 4.5 Feet (2PSI). The 1U-MD pump must be used submerged. The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of Polypropylene, EPDM, Carbon/Teflon, Stainless Steel, Cycolac, and Delrin. When submerged, Epoxy, Noryl, Cycolac, and the SJT Cord are also in contact with the solution. The inlet connection is a screen, and the outlet is 1/4 inch male pipe thread. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 50PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 190 Fahrenheit or 160 Celsius in open air, or 87 Fahrenheit or 71 Celsius if submerged. The March 1U-MD centrifugal magnetic drive pump is capable of handling fresh water, salt water, and mild chemicals. This pump is not self-priming, and lacks a suction lift, and requires a flooded suction - the liquid must flow naturally to the pump. It cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. Do not operate the pump until liquid is inside of the pump and ever run the pump dry. Rated performance capacity is up to 3 GPM open flow, and up to 4.6 feet total dynamic head. At the maximum head of 4.6 feet, the flow will be lower than the rated capacity of 3 GPM. The maximum temperature for this pump is 190 degrees F (Open Air) / 160 degrees F (Submerged).

Applications

There are many applications that the March 011500070413 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include chemical transfer, photographic processing equipment, refrigeration systems, and water displays. The 1UMD has pumped Acetone, Ammonium Chloride, Ammonium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Ethylene Glycol, Magnesium Nitrate, Potassium Carbonate, Sodium Borate, Fresh Water, Salt Water, and many more chemicals. Liquids containing ferrous metal fines should not be pumped. This pump may have to be modified to pump liquids or chemicals with specific gravities, viscosities, or elevated temperatures different then ambient water. A magnetic drive pump is sealless, preventing any leakage that is normally associated with a conventional seal pump. Not only does the absence of a seal prevent the leakage of potentially dangerous and expensive liquids, it reduces maintenance time spent on the pump. In any magnetic drive pump, there are only two moving parts, the drive magnet and the impeller. With only two moving parts, there is little to break in the pump, and this pump is serviceable with a screwdriver. The simpler the pump, the less chance there is for failure. A magnetic drive pump is your answer to for a long lasting, dependable, reliable pump. Install the pump as near to the suction source and as low as possible with a flooded suction. The Pump should be mounted horizontally on a foundation secured by anchor bolts on a flat, stable surface or supports which are suitable to prevent movement of the pump and motor when in operation. It is advisable to mount the motor on a dampening/insulation surface to reduce noise and vibration caused by the moving components while operation. Always ensure that the outlet port is higher than the inlet port. This allows a path for the air to escape through. If the outlet is not higher than air can build up and may cause problems within the system. The pump should never be mounted vertically with the pump head at the lowest point. This will create an air pocket within the pump chamber and may cause problems.
