The Johnson 10-24502-04 is a Thermoplastic PPA Magnetically Driven DC Circulation Pump with enclosed Motor, IP67 rated, 5 GPM flow, with Thermoplastic PPA Impeller, 3/4 inch Hose Inlet by 3/4 inch Hose Outlet Ports, coupled to a 14 Watts, 24 Volts DC Motor. This pump is a Magnetically driven Direct Current (DC) powered Circulation Pump. This Magnetically driven pump has no seal, so it has no leakage. It has a long life expectancy and can withstand dry running for up to 30 minutes. The motor has a higher IP classification of IP67, which means it will reliably function in the toughest environments, water-proof as well as dust-proof, and withstands powerful water jets used during maintenance, and will even withstand submersion for up to 30 minutes. The motor is an enclosed permanent magnet, ball bearing mounted motor, designed for continuous operation, and has superior permanently lubricated bearings which allows continual operation of 5,000 plus hours. This unit adheres to the UN R10 - EMC regulation and complies with relevant EMC regulations and directives. This means increased reliability, reduced warranty issues and service costs. This pump and motor unit has a small footprint and is a direct replacement for OE intercooler circulation pumps, and is perfect for Turbocharged or Supercharged Intercooler applications. This high quality circulation pump was designed to meet the demands for heating and cooling systems on boats, trains, buses, commercial vehicles, recreational vehicles and motor-homes. Small, compact, and specifically designed for circulation duties, this continuously rated pump provides trouble-free operation. Do not use this pump for petrol, petroleum products, or fluids with a flashpoint below 37 degrees C. The maximum temperature for this pump is Minimum of minus -40 degrees F to Maximum of plus +212 degree F degrees F.
WEIGHT : The Johnson 10-24502-04 weighs 1.2 lbs.
Typical applications for the 102450204 are circulation of water and antifreeze in heating system for cars, boats, recreation vehicles, etc. It is also typically used in circulation for cooling fresh water in vehicles. This is a good allround circulation pump wherever selfpriming is not essential. Whether your application is hot or cold, dirty or wet, the Johnson 102450204 gets the job done. This pump has extreme operational reliability, compact, leakproof design and the capability of pumping water, antifreeze or coolants under hostile operating conditions, which are all three of the advantages which distinguish the this magnetic drive, sealless pump from conventional alternatives. The pumps should not be used for soiled water containing hard particles. It is weatherproof as well as dustproof, and can be used in dirty or high humidity situations in vehicles or outdoor applications where the pump may be regularly subjected to road spray, adverse weather conditions or a profuse hosing down during routine maintenance. The pump is well adapted for a wide range of demanding applications and operates without problem over a wide range of temperatures while reliably pumping coolants or water over extended periods of time. Low friction impeller bearings prolong service life and make it possible for the pump to withstand dry running for up to 30 minutes. The permanently lubricated ball bearing motor also contributes to the up to 5000 hour uninterrupted service rating of this hightech pump. IMPORTANT NOTE Do not pump gasoline, solvents, thinners, highly concentrated or organic acids. If corrosive fluids must be handled, pump life will be prolonged if flushed with water after each use or after each work day. This pump is a normalpriming centrifugal pump and should be mounted in a manner that ensures that they are always flooded or else be primed before being switched on. The pump should not be run dry, even if it stands a shorter time of dry running. The maximum dry running without liquid is 30 minutes, but note that dry running will always cause increased wear. The direction of rotation of the pump is clockwise, viewed from the front towards the body see rotation arrow. The motors are made for and for voltage fluctuation of plus or minus 20 percent. The pumps can be installed horizontally or vertically. To avoid airlocks when mounted horizontally, the outlet should be turned in such a way that the it is directed upwards or is placed on the upper side of the pump body.
