The Johnson 10-13395-104 is a Polypropylene Aqua Jet WPS 3.5 24V Water Pressure Pump, five chamber diaphragm pump and motor pressure system, with EPDM Diaphragm, coupled to a 24 Volts DC Motor. This pump can operate in fresh or sea water. The five chamber Aqua Jet WPS-series provides a reliable heart for small boat and recreational vehicle water pressure systems. When the pump runs, the pressure is increased until it will reach the pre-set pressure level. When the pre-set pressure level has been reached then the integrated pressure switch will automatically shut off the pump. This pump is equipped with outlet valves that ensure the pressure is maintained even after the pump is shut off. At the faucet or shower when water is demanded the pressure decreases, then after a moderate drop in pressure the integrated pressure will switch on automatically turning the pump back on. Based on the pumps durable construction and thoughtful design, it will provide many years of service. It is important to note that the pressure setting of this pump is made at the factory and the warranty will be invalidated by any pressure switch interference. This pump has quiet operation, smooth flowing, and self priming features. Integrated pressure switch turns the pump on/off automatically when the tap is opened or closed. There is a built-in by-pass valve which will reduce your need for a storage tank. Other features of this pump is low power consumption, dry running without damage, and quick disconnect fittings. This pump can easily build the pressure needed for any pressurized water supply system. The Aqua Jet five chamber diaphragm pump provides the perfect water pressure solution for both small and medium sized leisure and commercial boats as well as for mobile homes, campers and summer homes. Quiet and pulsationfree even at low speeds. Efficient and compact, Aqua Jet pumps are particularly suitable where low amperage and sound levels in relation to water flow are placed at a premium such as in shower and galley applications. Integrated pressure switch turns pump on and off automatically when tap is opened and closed. It will operate in fresh or sea water and is selfpriming.
For installation the pump must be mounted in a dry location and if the pump is mounted vertically then the motor must be placed above the pump house. Mark out screw positions before drilling pilot holes. The pump is to mounted using stainless steel screws with the enclosed washers. Be sure that the plastic spacers are in their correct position and take care to not fasten the vibrationdamping rubber feet too much. It is recommended to use reinforced, high pressure flexible tubing. When using rigid pipe, a length 225 mm/9 inches minimum of flexible tubing should be installed in between the pump and rigid pipe. This may address the noise or damage caused by vibration transmitted to a rigid pipe. To secure tubing to quick disconnect fittings use stainless steel hose clamps and on other hose barbs in the system. To prevent debris from entering pump and interfering with proper functioning of valves, a strainer must be installed in line before the pump intake. For electrical installation the pump must be installed according to SSEN ISO 10133 small craft Electrical system for extra low voltage DC installation for continuous current. Also, the fuse must be ignition protected. To prevent the motor from overheating, this motor is equipped with built in thermal protection. This protection feature is automatically restored once the motor is cooled. When this pump is connected with a separate earth lead, it should be yellow/green and connected to motor base. Consult the wiring table for correct installation. The negative wire must be black and be sure to choose wire size in accordance with the total wire length. The Aqua Jet Aqua Jet Pressure system should be periodically sanitized using this following procedure Fill the tank with a solution of household bleach and potable water at a 1 ml .03 oz. bleach/1 l 32 oz. water ratio. Open all faucets and run until the water flow smells of bleach. Close the faucets and drain the solution from the tank. Then refill tank with potable water again and then again open the faucets and run until all bleach has been purged from the system.
