Product Information :

The Groco RV-25-375 is a Bronze Heat Exchanger with 3/8 inch Oil Ports, 3/4 inch Water Ports, 415 sq. inch cooling area. Since the 1930's Groco has manufactured heat exchangers (oil coolers) for the most demanding military, marine and industrial customers. Cast bronze construction and universal mounting (body may be rotated to simplify plumbing) make these the finest heat exchangers available. At engine start-up a built-in bypass system allows cold oil to flow past the heat exchanger until operating temperature is reached. The full flow of oil is then directed between the cooling tubes.

Applications

Install the BV5000 seacock in accordance with ABYC H27 onto a backing block of suitable material for wet bilge areas. The backing block serves to further spread the load, but not directly on the hull section through which the thruhull fitting penetrates. Some installers prefer bolting through the hull and backing block, while others will bond the backing block permanently to the hull, and then bolt into the backing block, but not all the way through the hull. Either installation is acceptable. Depending on the combined backing block and hull thickness, the thruhull fitting length may need to be reduced so it does not bottom out inside the seacock before proper compression is achieved. No regular maintenance is required. It is recommended that the valve be operated at least monthly to assure free movement and to prevent the buildup of nuisance marine growth. If service is required, these BV series seacocks allow infield disassembly. Remove the cap screws that secure the top nut. The nut can now be unscrewed to allow access to the ball and seats. Stem seals are accessible from outside the valve by removing the handle and stem lock nut.
