Product Information :

The Flojet G57-C203 is a Flojet G57 Series Air Operated Diaphragm Pump, with Polypropylene housing, Kalrez Diaphragm, Polypropylene Check Valve Seat, Viton O-Rings, Hastelloy Springs, and is driven by an internal air motor. This small air operated double diaphragm pump is designed to be the ultimate in performance and reliability. The robust design combines innovative features and relentless testing to offer a pump that has a long, trouble free service life. This Air Operated duplex Diaphragm pump has leak resistant radial seals, eliminating the need for critical o-ring seals. It is is capable of passing 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) diameter solids easily with large clog free check valves. It has a unique shuttle valve that combines a long life ceramic slide valve with a unique spring design that eliminates stalling. The air or CO2 inlet can handle pressures up to 100 PSI (6.9 bar) and has a quiet operation with a large exhaust muffler with a maximum noise level of 87dB. The high air or CO2 inlet pressure capability makes it the ultimate pump that delivers fluid at the needed flow and pressure. This pump is self-priming and should be mounted in a dry and adequately ventilated area. This pump can be mounted several feet from the tank, above or below the fluid level. For most applications, no more than 4 feet above the fluid level is recommended. This is not a submersible pump. It is possible for this pump to self-prime from dry up to 15 feet (4.5 m) and self prime from wet up to 20 feet (6.1 m). High viscosity fluids and hose length will limit priming distance. This Air Driven Double Diaphragm Pump is designed for general commercial and industrial applications. Allowed fluids for Kalrez Diaphragms are Lubricating Oils, Hydraulic Oils, Vegetable Oils, Alcohols, Keytones, Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Aliphatic Hydrocarbons, Diluted Acids, Alkalis, Soaps with solvents, Automotive brake fluid, Acetones, Ethanol, inks. However, Kalrez Diaphragm pumps CANNOT pump Halogenated Solvents as this may cause premature failure of the pump. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that fluids are compatible with the materials of the pump. Do NOT pump Petrol or fluids with flash point below 98 degress F (37 degrees C). The maximum liquid temperature for this pump is 120 degrees F (48.9 degrees C) and continuous operation at 120 degrees F will reduce pump life. The minimum liquid temperature is 40 degrees F (4.4 degrees C).

Applications

The Flojet G57C203 Duplex Diaphragm Pump is designed for a wide range of applications and is constructed from a selection of materials suitable for handling a broad range of chemicals. Typical pump uses are Chemical Transfer and Dispensing, Solvent Applications, Parts Washers, Ink Transfer, and Car Wash Systems. When starting this pump, regulate the gas pressure to desired setting. For most installations 20 PSI 1.4 bar inlet will be adequate, although DO NOT go below 20 PSI. Pump will operate according to air supply. Flow and pressure can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing gas pressure to accommodate varying product viscosities, length of lines or other installation conditions. Air must be dry and oil free. Compressors must have dryers and/or a water separator in the air distribution system. For plumbing/piping this pump, use a flexible hose to avoid excess stress on pump ports, and DO NOT crimp or kink hose. The hose should be the same size as the Straight 3/8 inch hose barb pump port fittings on this pump. All fittings must be compatible with fluid being pumped. It is recommended to use plastic fittings only. The use of check valves in the plumbing system could interfere with the priming ability of the pump. If unavoidable, check valves in the pumping system must have a cracking pressure of 2 PSI or less. Use a minimum 40 mesh strainer or filter in the tank or pump inlet line to keep large foreign particles out of the system. For the Gas In air inlet make sure that the gas regulator is set at zero. Use reinforced 1/4 inch hose and connect the "Gas In" to the gas supply fitting on regulator. If pumps are installed in an enclosed area, it is recommended to connect a hose to the gas discharge port exhaust and vent gas to atmosphere. If used with C02 or N2 be sure the area is well ventilated.
