Cat Pump # 5SP30ELR Plunger Pump

The Cat Pump 5SP30ELR is a Plunger Pump, pump end only, with Brass construction, 1/2 inch NPT(F) Inlet port x 3/8 inch NPT(M) Discharge port, and is rated for up to 3 GPM, and 3000 PSI at maximum shaft speed of 1750 RPM. This triplex (three plunger rods) positive displacement, reciprocating plunger pump is constructed with a brass manifold, 304 stainless steel valve assemblies, solid ceramic plungers and standard NBR (Buna-N) seals and O-rings. "R" pump models include an integral pressure regulating valve. 5SP Series pumps are hollow-shafted and designed to bolt directly to a 182/184TC-face electric motor with a 1-1/8" shaft, providing an easy, compact installation. This Plunger pump utilizes spring-loaded closed and hydraulically opened inlet and discharge valves to direct flow through the pump manifold. At the beginning of the stroke, the plunger displaces the liquid in the manifold chamber, forcing the discharge valve open. When the plunger reaches the end of the stroke, the discharge valve closes. As the plunger rod begins its backward stroke, the inlet valve opens to allow more liquid into the manifold chamber, thereby keeping a smooth forward flow of liquid. IMPORTANT : All high-pressure systems require a primary pressure regulating device (e. g. regulator, unloader) and a secondary pressure relief device (e. g. pop-off valve, relief valve). Failure to install such relief devices could result in personal injury or damage to pump or property.
