Cat Pump # 310B Plunger Pump

The Cat Pump 310B is a Plunger Pump, pump end only, with Brass construction, 1/2 inch NPT(F) Inlet port x 3/8 inch NPT(F) Discharge port, and is rated for up to 4 GPM, and 2200 PSI at maximum shaft speed of 950 RPM. This triplex (three plunger rods) positive displacement, reciprocating plunger pump is constructed with achrome-plated special "B" Series brass manifold, 304 stainless steel valve assemblies, solid ceramic plungers and standard NBR (Buna-N) seals and O-rings. Chemical erosion or washout of manifolds in carwash applications can lead to various equipment issues, including pulsation, leaks and pressure loss. Cat Pumps engineers solved the washout issues of standard pumps by developing the "B" Series manifold. By utilizing corrosion-resistant alloys, chrome-plated finishes and superior sealing surfaces, this design withstands the harsh chemicals used in the carwash industry. This Plunger pump utilizes spring-loaded closed and hydraulically opened inlet and discharge valves to direct flow through the pump manifold. At the beginning of the stroke, the plunger displaces the liquid in the manifold chamber, forcing the discharge valve open. When the plunger reaches the end of the stroke, the discharge valve closes. As the plunger rod begins its backward stroke, the inlet valve opens to allow more liquid into the manifold chamber, thereby keeping a smooth forward flow of liquid. IMPORTANT : All high-pressure systems require a primary pressure regulating device (e. g. regulator, unloader) and a secondary pressure relief device (e. g. pop-off valve, relief valve). Failure to install such relief devices could result in personal injury or damage to pump or property.
