The Barnes 10ICU-1 is a Cast Iron Self-Priming End-Suction Frame Mounted Pedestal Centrifugal Pump, with Cast Iron Impeller, Buna/Carbon/Ni/Resist Mechanical Seal, 2 inch by 2 inch FNPT Ports, replacement pump end only without a Motor. This self-priming pump is designed to meet a broad range of general and special industrial applications. These pumps feature a self-cleaning, Semi-Open, Dynamically Balanced, ISO G6.3 clog resistant impeller capable of handling up to 3/8 " diameter semi-solids. The shaft is Stainless Steel. A Built-in flapper/check valve enables fast consistent self-priming to 20 feet. This pump is coupled to a heavy duty cast iron bearing housing with a CNC machined Stainless Steel keyed shaft, and single row greased radial ball bearings. The pump has been designed for either direct connection or belt drive. The maximum recommended RPM is 3,600. Units can be installed with direct-coupling drive or pulley drive and can be driven by electric motor or gasoline/diesel engine. Each pump is equipped with a flapper valve to shorten re-prime time after initially filling casing with liquid. Handles liquids from 40 degrees F to 160 degrees F (4 degrees C to 71 degrees C). IMPORTANT : For use with nonflammable liquids compatible with pump component materials.

The Barnes 10ICU1 SelfPriming Centrifugal pump is used for direct coupling or pulley drive medium head applications in industrial and commercial applications requiring high volume liquid transfer, waste water drainage and processing, irrigation, dewatering, lawn sprinkling, etc. There are many applications that the Barnes 10ICU1 are used in. Typical applications are Marine Duty, Bilge and Balast, General Industrial, Chemicals, Petroleum Solvents, Lawn Sprinkling, Pressure Boosting, Light Irrigation, and General Dewatering. It is designed to handle liquids with solids content or dissolved solids and debris. These pumps can also accommodate semisolids up to 3/8 inch dia., sediment laden liquids, and liquids with entrained air or gases. Pump should not be operated without a suction strainer to prevent foreign matter from being drawn into impeller. For installation, locate the pump on a firm footing to make sure the pump will not move due to vibration. Flex coupled and V belt driven units should be permanently grouted onto a cement foundation. The pumps should be level to provide favorable operating conditions. In addition, the flexible coupling should be realigned after grouting in order to eliminate excessive wear on the coupling.
