Gorman Rupp # 15000-165 Oscillating Pump

Gorman Rupp Pump

Product Information :

The Gorman Rupp Industries (GRI) model # 15000-165 is a Oscillating Pump and Motor unit, coil spring mount, with 7/16 inch - 12mm ID Hose ports, coupled to a 220 Volts AC Motor. The oscillating pump is a low flow (between 0.2 to 0.8 GPM), low pressure (between 0 and 8 feet of head) transfer or circulating pump. The pump contains an elastomeric impeller that extends through a spring and armature and into an electric coil. A diode in the circuit feeds impulses to the coil 50 or 60 times per second. Each pulse draws the armature and impeller forward against the spring, pumping liquid through the outlet. The spring returns the armature and impeller to their original position, drawing liquid through the inlet. Oscillating Pumps are self-priming, corrosion resistant, have no dynamic seals and are constructed from FDA accepted materials. The pump is self-priming at 48 inches under most conditions. Reduced voltage will reduce priming ability and flow rate. The pump is mounted on a coil Spring mount which gives the pump higher flow and efficiency, greater priming ability, and transmits less vibration to the mounting structure. The oscillating pump is designed for use with fluids at normal room temperature. Maximum operating temperature is 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). The dimensions are 7.12 inches long, 2.38 inches wide, and 2.32 inches high.

Applications

The GRI 15000165 operates best in applications where replenishing, transfer and circulation of fluid is concerned. Specific applications in which the pump is ideal for include scientific and laboratory equipment, microfilm processors, litho plate processors, chemical mixing, graphic arts plate processors, medical equipment, detergent dispensing, and film processors. The FDA approved components in these oscillating pumps, makes them perfect for applications in the laboratory and analytical instrumentation market, whether using them for fluid transfer, sterilizing laboratory and surgical equipment, a critical analytical application, or a simple fluid circulation loop. The pump has been designed to handle a wide range of liquid viscosities. Fluids more viscous than water, however, will reduce the flow rate. Actual flow may be higher than listed and may vary from pump to pump. Due to this inherent characteristic, these pumps are not normally intended for metering.
