Product Manual PDF (view)The Jabsco 50840-0012 is a cyclone stainless steel centrifugal pump with 3/4 Inch NPT Ports, coupled to a 12 Volt DC Motor. This long-life, continuously rated centrifugal pump delivers high flows up to 29 GPM (110 LPM) with a maximum pressure of 8.7 psi (0.6 bar). The combination of reliability, performance, and silent operation is what makes the Cyclone centrifugal pump the class leader and is why these robust pumps are supported by many major customers and OEMs worldwide. The Low Pressure Cyclone is ideal for hot water circulation duties such as engine cooling and central heating systems. The Cyclone can be mounted on any flat surface. The pump must be installed below the lowest fluid level to maintain flooded suction.
Do not pump gasoline, petrol or fluids with a flash point below 37 degrees C .

Applications
Jabsco circulation pumps are designed for reliability and ease of use. These robust, high efficiency and flow, longlife Stainless Steel General Purpose Centrifugal circulation pumps are designed specifically for the marine and industrial markets. Typical applications would be for circulation applications such as hot and cold water systems, windscreen washing, livewell and bait tank systems and liquid transfer. These circulation pumps can be used in low pressure circulation applications such as marine central heating systems where they can be used to circulate heated coolant water heater from an engines recirculating fresh water system through radiators in the vessel living spaces. These Pump may be run dry for short periods of time. Pump may be run against a closed discharge. If mounted vertically, ensure the motor is above the pump head. Use 3/4 Inch pipe fittings with PTFE pipe joint tape or compound.
