Product Information :

The Groco P-9000 is a Bronze two-stage self-priming positive displacement rotary pump, suitable for direct or pulley drive up to 1750 RPM, with 3/4 Inch NPT Inlet by 3/4 Inch NPT Outlet Ports, replacement pump end only without a Motor. This pump complies with NSF-61 low-lead standard. It has teflon impellers and is capable of developing pressure up to 60 Psi and flow up to 11 GPM. Improved pump design has screw-on seal end cap. The construction (bronze, stainless steel, Teflon and Delrin) makes it suitable for pumping nearly any non-flammable and non-explosive fluid with low solids content. You should use a Groco WSB series strainer if solids are likely to be encountered in the fluid being pumped. External drive is required (1750 RPM max) either direct drive or with a pulley and belt. This pump is for applications where occasional dry running may be encountered. The pump is reversible in rotation, so the inlet and outlet ports will be determined by motor rotation. If the motor rotation is clockwise facing the motor shaft, the pump port closest to the motor will be the inlet. It has a 1/2 inch shaft diameter, and a 3/4 Inch NPT Inlet x 3/4 Inch NPT Outlet.

Applications

Do not lubricate any part of the pump. On initial startup only, pour a small amount of the liquid being pumped into the pump inlet. this will aid in initial prime. In directdrive installations alignment of the pump shaft with the motor shaft is critical for smooth and quiet operation. Carefully shim the pump to obtain accurate alignment. Improper alignment will result in noisy pump performance, low GPM and pressure, and high amp draw. Premature wear of the driving coupling and pump bearings and seal may result.
